 Paul J. Rizzo joined the board of
directors of POZEN in July 2002
and is a member of the nominating/governance committee.
Mr. Rizzo is chairman of the board and partner at Franklin Street
Partners, a North Carolina investment firm, and also serves on the board
of PPD, Cox Enterprises and Maersk. From 1987 to 1992, he served as the
Dean of the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Rizzo was formerly vice chairman
of the board of directors and chief financial officer at IBM Corporation.
He also served on the board of directors of Johnson & Johnson and
Morgan Stanley. Mr. Rizzo received a bachelor's degree in commerce
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
